Thank you for your interest in Congregation Or Tikvah. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to welcome you to our congregation. We are here to meet the educational, cultural, and spiritual needs of the Jewish community in northern Lake County.
My family and I joined Or Tikvah last year. we were so pleased to find a warm, welcoming jewish home in "our neck of the woods". Please take the opportunity to experience our haimish egalitarian worship services, Religious and Hebrew Schools for our pre-school through post B'nai Mitzvah, and warm, inclusive family programs. Our small size allows many opportunities for individual congregants to participate and make a difference.
We are a conservative synagogue, but welcoming to Jewish families from all backgrounds. We understand that many in this area were raised in Reform, secular, or non-Jewish homes. Please know that we encourage and welcome all to join us from where-ever you are right now. Cantor Schechter conducts a service which is meaningful and inclusive to all, taking the time to explain and teach us about the rituals and customs and how they relate to us.
We offer celebrations and programs year-round, including Shabbat dinners, Chanukah and Purim parties, a Passover Seder, and our annual picnic.
